Moving Around Walton, Street by Street

Walton is a mix of tight Victorian terraces off County Road and Spellow Lane, bigger houses towards Walton Village, and semis on the roads around Walton Hall Park. Terraces mean narrow hallways, steep stairs and cars parked on both sides, while the semis usually have more room out front but more to pack.

Our man and van Liverpool team covers Walton regularly from our base on Smithdown Road. We take beds and wardrobes apart so they come down the stairs without marking the walls, rebuild them at the other end, and can pack the whole house or just the fragile bits. Flat moves and single item delivery across L4 and L9 are everyday jobs for us too.

FAQs

Questions People Ask

Do you cover all of Walton?

Yes, we cover Walton across L4 and L9, from the terraces off County Road and Spellow Lane to Walton Village, the roads around Walton Hall Park, and Rice Lane up to Walton Vale.

That includes the tight Victorian terraces near Goodison Park, the bigger houses towards Walton Village, and the semis on the roads around Walton Hall Park. We also work in all the neighbourhoods around it, such as Orrell Park, Anfield, Kirkdale and Fazakerley, so a short move from one north Liverpool street to another is a normal job for us.

Whether you are moving a full house, a flat or just one item, we can help. We are open Monday to Sunday, 8am to 9pm, and have done more than 300 moves. If you are not sure we cover your road, send your postcode on WhatsApp at 07494 947 303 and we will confirm, usually within the hour. You can also check our areas we cover page for the rest of Liverpool, Sefton and beyond.

Is parking a problem near Goodison Park?

It can be, because the streets around Goodison Park are tight terraces and they fill up fast on event days.

On a normal day, the main issue is cars parked on both sides of narrow roads. On event days it gets much busier, with more traffic and fewer spaces, so it is worth checking the calendar before you pick a date. Tell us your street and your preferred date when you message, and we will plan where to stop. If the roads are likely to be busy, we may suggest an earlier start or a different day to make the move easier.

It also helps to ask neighbours to leave a space outside your door, or to park your own car there the night before to hold the spot. A shorter carry from your front door to the van makes the move quicker and safer. Terraces near the ground also tend to have steep stairs, so we take beds and wardrobes apart where needed. For smaller homes, our flat moves service is a good fit, and for bigger ones see house moves. Message us on WhatsApp at 07494 947 303 to plan your day.

Can you pick up a single item from a shop or seller in Walton?

Yes, we collect single items and Marketplace buys across Walton, whether it is a sofa from a seller off County Road or a wardrobe from a house near Walton Vale.

We collect the item, wrap it, load it safely and carry it into your home, rather than leaving it at the door. If it needs taking apart to get out of the seller’s house or a shop, we can do that and rebuild it at yours. We can drop it anywhere in Liverpool or further afield, and it works the other way too, if you live in Walton and have bought something from elsewhere. Our single item delivery service explains how it works.

To get a price, send us a photo of the item or the listing, plus both postcodes, on WhatsApp at 07494 947 303. Tell us if there are stairs at either end, and agree a collection time with the seller before we book you in. Prices start from £50, and we agree a clear price before you book. For second-hand buys from online sellers, see our Marketplace collections page too.

Can you get a wardrobe down the stairs of a Walton terrace?

Yes, the terraces off County Road and Spellow Lane often have steep stairs and narrow hallways, so we take beds and wardrobes apart before carrying them down and rebuild them at your new place.

Forcing a big wardrobe round a tight landing is how walls get marked and furniture gets damaged. Taking it apart means each piece can be wrapped and carried safely, and it goes back together in the right room at the other end. This is part of the job, not an extra you need to ask for, and it applies to bed frames, tables, desks and many sofas too.

It helps if you send us a photo of the wardrobe and, if you can, the stairs and landing when you ask for a quote. That lets us plan the carry and bring the right tools. If a piece looks too big for the space, we can talk through the options before the day. If you are replacing old furniture rather than moving it, our furniture removal service can take it away. We do the same for the terraces in nearby Everton. Message us on WhatsApp at 07494 947 303.

How far are you from Walton?

We are based on Smithdown Road in Liverpool 7 and cover Walton regularly, usually coming up Queens Drive, so it is a normal local job for us rather than a long trip.

Because we work in north Liverpool often, we can usually fit in short notice moves and quick pickups. We know the area, from the busy stretches of County Road and Rice Lane to the side streets where the van can stop. When we agree a time with you, we allow for the drive and the traffic, so we turn up when we say we will.

Many of our Walton jobs are local moves to places like Anfield, Orrell Park or Fazakerley, but we also move people from Walton to anywhere in the UK. Prices start from £50, and long distance moves start from £200, with a clear price agreed before you book. We are open Monday to Sunday, 8am to 9pm, so you can pick a time that suits you, including weekends and evenings. To book, send photos and both postcodes on WhatsApp at 07494 947 303 or call 0151 272 3467. You can also get in touch through our contact page, and we usually reply within the hour.

Do you move the semis around Walton Hall Park?

Yes, we move the semis on the roads around Walton Hall Park, which usually have more room to park out front but more to pack.

Bigger family homes mean more rooms, more furniture and often a loft, garage or shed to clear, so planning makes the day run smoothly. When you ask for a quote, tell us how many bedrooms there are, what is going, and whether anything is staying behind. Photos of the main rooms let us give you an accurate price without a home visit. The extra parking space outside most of these houses means we can usually load straight from the drive or the road.

For a house this size, packing can save you a lot of time. We offer full packing, where we pack the whole house, or partial packing for just the fragile and awkward things. Big furniture is taken apart and rebuilt at your new place, and everything is fully insured while it is in our care. Our house moves page explains more. If you are heading further afield, see our long distance removals. Message us on WhatsApp at 07494 947 303 to get started.

Can you pack for us?

Yes, we offer full packing, where we pack the whole house, or partial packing for just the fragile or awkward things.

Full packing suits you if you are short on time or would rather not deal with boxes at all. We pack each room, label everything and load it in a sensible order, so unpacking is easier at the other end. Partial packing is a good middle ground: you pack the clothes, books and everyday things, and we handle the items that break easily or are hard to wrap, like glassware, mirrors, pictures, lamps and televisions.

In Walton, where many homes are terraces with steep stairs, well-packed boxes are also safer and quicker to carry. Let us know which option you want when you ask for a quote, and roughly how many rooms need packing, so we can include it in the price. Your belongings are fully insured while they are in our care. Packing is especially worth it for longer trips, so take a look at our long distance moves if you are leaving Liverpool. For everything else we do, see our services page, or send photos on WhatsApp at 07494 947 303 for a clear price.

Can you take away old furniture?

Yes, as long as it is furniture or household items, such as old sofas, beds, mattresses, wardrobes, tables and chairs.

Our furniture removal service does not cover general waste or rubbish, so bags of rubbish, garden waste, building materials and loose junk would need to be sorted separately. Our furniture removal service page explains what we can and cannot take.

A lot of people book this alongside their move. The old pieces go out while the rest of the house is loaded, which saves a second trip and means you are not taking things you no longer want into your new home. It is also handy if you are moving from a semi near Walton Hall Park into somewhere smaller and need to clear a few bigger items first. If you are not moving and just want a few things gone, we can do that as a separate job. Send a photo of what needs to go and your postcode on WhatsApp at 07494 947 303, and we will give you a clear price before you book. Our terms and conditions list any items we cannot carry.

Are my things insured during the move?

Yes, your belongings are fully insured while they are in our care, from loading in Walton to unloading at your new home.

We also work to avoid damage in the first place. Furniture is wrapped and strapped in the van, bigger pieces are taken apart so they are not forced down steep stairs or through narrow doors, and we load the van so heavy items never sit on top of fragile ones. With so many terraced houses in Walton, careful handling on the stairs matters just as much as careful loading.

There are a few things you can do to help. Keep valuables such as jewellery, documents and cash with you, label your boxes clearly, and point out anything delicate before we start. If you would rather the fragile things were packed for you, we offer full or partial packing. Our terms and conditions set out the details of cover and any items we cannot carry. If you have a question before booking, message us on WhatsApp at 07494 947 303 or call 0151 272 3467, and we usually reply within the hour. We also cover nearby Kirkdale and Everton.

How much notice do you need for a Walton move?

We recommend booking two or more days ahead, but short notice is often possible.

A few days’ notice gives you the best choice of times and lets us plan properly, especially for bigger houses around Walton Hall Park or anything that needs packing. Weekends and the end of the month are usually the busiest, and event days around Goodison Park can make the nearby streets harder to work on, so if your date is fixed, get in touch as soon as you know it. Smaller jobs, like a single item or a Marketplace pickup, can often be done the same day or the next.

To book, send photos of what is moving and both postcodes on WhatsApp at 07494 947 303, or call 0151 272 3467. We usually reply within the hour. You can also use the quote form on this page, which opens WhatsApp with your details ready to send. Prices start from £50, and we agree a clear price before you book. We are open Monday to Sunday, 8am to 9pm. If your plans change after booking, let us know as soon as you can through WhatsApp or our contact page. We also cover nearby Fazakerley at short notice.
