Moving Home in Warrington

Warrington is a big town with a wide spread of homes. Around the town centre and the Golden Gates outside the Town Hall there are flats and older terraced streets, while places like Latchford and Orford have plenty of terraces and semis. Birchwood and Great Sankey are newer, with modern estates of semis, townhouses and flats, and Walton Hall Gardens sits out to the south near Walton.

We are a man and van Liverpool service based on Smithdown Road, and we cover Warrington regularly, along with nearby Widnes and St Helens. We plan each move around the property: stairs in a townhouse, parking on a busy terrace, or a lift in a town centre block. Furniture is taken apart and rebuilt where needed, and full or partial packing is available. We also handle single item deliveries, Marketplace collections and furniture removal across WA1 to WA5.

FAQs

Questions People Ask

Do you cover all of Warrington?

Yes, we cover the whole of Warrington across WA1 to WA5, so wherever you are in the town we can help. That includes the town centre and the streets around the Golden Gates, Latchford, Stockton Heath and Walton to the south, Orford and Padgate to the north, Birchwood and Culcheth to the east, and Great Sankey, Penketh and Westbrook to the west.

Most Warrington jobs are house moves and flat moves, but we also do single items, Marketplace pickups, packing and furniture removal. It does not matter whether you are moving within the same estate, across town or out of Warrington altogether, the way we plan it is the same: we look at the property, the access and what is going, then agree a clear price before you book.

If you are not sure whether your street is covered, just send us your postcode on WhatsApp. You can also check the full list of places on our areas we cover page, which includes nearby towns like Widnes and St Helens.

How far is Warrington from your base?

Warrington is well within the area we collect from, and we cover it regularly from our base on Smithdown Road in Liverpool. We collect from places up to roughly 100 miles away, so Warrington is a normal run for us rather than a special trip.

Moves between Warrington and Liverpool are a common job, usually along the M62. We also do plenty of moves within Warrington itself, from a town centre flat to a semi in Great Sankey, for example. Because we are coming from Liverpool, it helps to book two or more days ahead so we can plan the day properly, but short notice is often possible, so it is always worth asking.

Travel is built into the price we give you, so there are no surprises on the day. Send us photos of what is moving and both postcodes and we will come back with a clear figure. If you are heading further than Liverpool, have a look at our long distance removals service, which starts from £200.

Can you move new-build homes in Birchwood and Great Sankey?

Yes, we move new-build homes in Birchwood, Great Sankey and the other newer estates in Warrington all the time. Many of these homes are modern semis, townhouses and flats, and each type brings its own things to plan for.

Townhouses often have three floors, with bedrooms on the top two and narrow stairs between them. That means more carrying, and big items like wardrobes, bed frames and corner sofas may need taking apart to get round the turns. We do that as part of the job and rebuild everything at your new place. Newer flats sometimes have a lift, but not always, so let us know which floor you are on.

Parking on new estates is usually easier than on older terraces, but some have tight shared drives or permit bays. Tell us your address and pick the right option on the quote form, such as ‘Stairs, no lift’, so we can plan. If you are moving out of a smaller flat, our flat moves page explains how we handle them.

Is parking a problem on the terraced streets in Latchford and Orford?

It can be, because many of the older terraces in Latchford, Orford and near the town centre only have on-street parking. Cars are often parked on both sides, which can make it hard to stop right outside your front door.

The good news is that a bit of planning sorts most of it out. When you book, tell us your street and house number, and if you know of any quirks, such as a one-way system, a narrow corner or a spot that is usually free in the morning, mention those too. We will work out the best place to load from before the day. If you can ask a neighbour to leave a space, or move your own car out of the way the night before, that helps a lot.

Terraced houses also tend to have narrow hallways and steep stairs, so we take apart bigger furniture where needed. Our house moves page has more on how a typical move works, from the first photo to the last box.

Can you move us from Warrington to Liverpool, or further afield?

Yes, we move people from Warrington to Liverpool regularly, and we also move people from Warrington to anywhere in the UK. Moves to Liverpool usually go along the M62, and it is one of the most common routes we do.

For a move to Liverpool or nearby towns like Widnes, we can usually load, drive and unload in the same day. For longer trips, we plan around the distance, the time of day and how much is going, so you know when to expect us at the other end. Tell us both addresses, any stairs or lifts at each end, and roughly how much you have, and we will give you a clear price before you book.

Long distance moves start from £200, and the price is agreed up front. Your belongings are fully insured while they are in our care for the whole journey. You can read more about how we plan bigger trips on our long distance removals page, or just send us the details on WhatsApp.

Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?

Yes, we take furniture apart and put it back together as a normal part of the job, not as an extra you have to ask for. Beds, wardrobes, tables and anything else that will not fit through a door or down the stairs gets dismantled, wrapped and rebuilt at your new place.

This matters in Warrington because the homes vary so much. A three-storey townhouse in Birchwood has tight turns on the stairs, while an older terrace in Latchford often has a narrow hallway and a small front door. Taking things apart protects the furniture and the walls on the way out, and makes better use of space in the van.

To help us plan, tell us about any big or awkward items when you ask for a quote, such as a large wardrobe, a corner sofa or a bed with storage underneath. A photo is ideal. Keep any fixings in a labelled bag if you take something apart yourself. If you are getting rid of old furniture as well, our furniture removal service can take it away.

Can you pack for us?

Yes, we can pack for you, with either full packing, where we pack the whole home, or partial packing, where we just do the fragile or awkward things. You choose what suits your time and budget.

Full packing is popular with families in the bigger houses around Great Sankey, Penketh and Stockton Heath, where there is a lot to get through. Partial packing suits people who are happy to box up books and clothes themselves but would rather leave glassware, pictures, mirrors and kitchen items to us. Either way, everything is wrapped and loaded so it travels safely.

When you ask for a quote, tell us which option you want and roughly how many rooms are involved. Photos of cupboards, shelves and any delicate items help us get the price right. If you are doing some packing yourself, label each box with the room it is going to, as that makes unloading much quicker. Packing can be added to any of our removal services, from a flat move to a full house.

Can you collect a Marketplace item in Warrington?

Yes, we collect single items and Marketplace buys from anywhere in Warrington and drop them in Liverpool, elsewhere in Warrington or further afield. It is one of the quickest jobs to book.

Common pickups include sofas, wardrobes, dining tables, fridge freezers and garden furniture. Before you agree the sale, check the item will fit through your door and up your stairs, and ask the seller if it needs taking apart. If it does, we can do that when we collect and rebuild it when we drop off. It also helps to confirm with the seller what time they will be in, and whether the item is on the ground floor or upstairs.

To get a price, send us the listing link or a photo, plus both postcodes, on WhatsApp. We usually reply within the hour. Prices start from £50 and are agreed before we set off. You can read more about how it works on our Marketplace collections page, or see our single item delivery service for other one-off jobs.

Are my things insured during the move?

Yes, your belongings are fully insured while they are in our care, from the moment we load in Warrington to the moment we unload at your new home. That covers the carry out, the drive and the carry in.

Insurance gives you peace of mind, but good handling is what keeps things in one piece. We wrap furniture, take apart bulky items where needed and load the van so nothing shifts on the M62 or on the way to your new street. If you have anything especially valuable or fragile, such as a large mirror, artwork or an antique, tell us when you ask for a quote so we can plan how to pack and carry it.

It also helps to keep jewellery, important documents and anything sentimental with you on the day. For full details of how we handle damage, cancellations and items we cannot carry, please read our terms and conditions. If you have any questions before booking, you can always get in touch and we will talk you through it.

How do I get a price for a Warrington move?

The quickest way to get a price is to send photos of what is moving and both postcodes on WhatsApp at 07494 947 303, or call us on 0151 272 3467. We usually reply within the hour, and we are open seven days a week, 8am to 9pm.

You can also use the quote form at the top of this page. It opens WhatsApp with your details already filled in, so you just press send. The more you tell us, the more accurate the price will be. Useful details include the number of bedrooms, any stairs or lifts at each end, big items like wardrobes or corner sofas, and whether you need packing or furniture taken apart.

Prices start from £50, and long distance moves from £200, with a clear price agreed before you book. We recommend booking two or more days ahead, but short notice is often possible. If you would rather talk it through, visit our contact page, or browse all our services first.
